Training that works, produces reliable and lasting results, based on science and psychology. By keeping up to date with recent advances in canine psychology I am able to train using only positive methods that do not risk bringing mental or physical harm to your dog. There is an abundance of evidence that shows that rewarding the behaviours we want results in the fastest learning.

If your dog has mastered the basics theres no need to stop training. Training can be used to teach your dog new ‘fun’ things and is a great way for bonding as well as being lots of fun for you both. It can also help to prevent unwanted behaviours developing and even delay the onset of canine cognitive dysfunction in older dogs.

So now I hear some of you says ‘so how do I stop my dog doing ……’insert your dogs problem behaviour here’……. if I can’t tell them off?

And that is the art and science of a good trainer and behaviourist. We look at the whole picture, human and canine and create a solution that works for each situation.

Whether you have a problem such as leash pulling, toileting in the house or barking at the postman or you’re looking to move your dog to the next level with tricks or activities around the home we can put in place training to suit the individual situation. Training empowers both you and your dog. You gain confidence in your dog and your dog learns what is expected of them; its a two way communication and leads to a strong bond between you. It even helps your dog when they’re feeling unsure.

I also offer specific clicker training sessions and enrichment sessions. Both of these sessions are suitable for all dogs but may be especially useful for dogs with limited mobility due to age or injury or during periods of hot or cold weather when it becomes difficult to take your dog outside for their usual exercise.
